The relationship between Donald Trump and Elon Musk broke down in public on Thursday with the world’s richest man who spent quarter billion dollars to send Trump back to the White House now saying he should be removed from office.
On Thursday, Musk expressed support for a post that said Trump should be impeached and replaced by Vice President JD Vance.
Musk responded “Yes” to an X user who wrote “President vs. Elon. Who wins? My money’s on Elon. . . Trump should be impeached and JD Vance should replace him.”
The breakdown of Trump and Musk’s relationship originated over Musk’s ongoing criticism of Republicans’ budget bill. The nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office estimated that the bill would add $2.4 trillion to the federal debt in the next decade.
