MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell a staunch Trump ally and strong proponent of the ‘big lie’ was thrown out of the Republican Governors Association conference on Tuesday.
Lindell told Politico that he flew to Nashville on Monday to attend the three day conference starting on Tuesday but, within minutes of his arrival at the hotel where the conference was being held, he was told he wasn’t welcome.
An anonymous RGA official said Lindell tried to secure an invite to a dinner at the Tennessee governor’s mansion but was turned down. The official said: “These events are for RGA members, and Mike Lindell is not currently an RGA member.”
Earlier on Tuesday, Lindell told Steve Bannon that he plans to confront Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp and Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey, RGA’s chair, about his claims of fraud in their states’ election.
Lindell was sued by Dominion Voting Systems for $1.3 billion in a defamation suit accusing him of repeatedly and falsely saying that the company’s voting machines had stolen the election from Donald Trump.
He attended the event last year where a number of Republican governors urged him to run for governor of Minnesota. Lindell on Tuesday said he had been invited to this year’s conference and shared a screenshot of a calendar event headlined “RGA – Nashville Meeting” and an “executive roundtable” badge to the conference.
After he was tossed from the event, Lindell told Politico that he’s leaving the city on his private jet.
