Pollster Nate Silver dismissed the idea that Joe Biden could serve a second term as “delusional” because the he is a “fucking walking corpse.”
Silver has been under fire from Democrats over his commentary critical of the party’s strategy, Biden’s age and warnings that the party could be heading for electoral disaster if they select him as the nominee.
“It’s just the most obvious thing in the world, this guy’s a fucking walking corpse,” Silver told Vox. “To say he could be president for another four years was delusional.”
Biden ultimately dropped out of the presidential race after the June debate with Donald Trump due to concerns from top Democrats about his changes of defeating the former president in November.
Silver is once again the target of fury from the left for his election forecast which gives Trump a 59.6 percent chance of victory over Vice-President Kamala Harris in the November election.
Democrats accused him of skewing his analysis to favor Trump at the behest of right-wing billionaires, citing his recent role as an adviser to the online prediction market Polymarket.
Silver denied the accusation in a post on X, writing, “Peter Thiel isn’t paying me any more than he’s paying someone who works for Facebook or Lyft.”
Silver doubled down in the Vox interview, dismissing the criticism from what he called the “circlejerk” of “Blue MAGA.”
“I don’t give a shit,” he added. “There’s a huge audience for the work I do” noting that his new book landed on the New York Times bestseller list.
