Nearly two dozen shots fired into Democratic state senator's home in Alabama.

Police are investigating after nearly two dozens shots were fired into the home of an Alabama state senator’s home on Thursday morning.

The shooting happened around 5 a.m. at the home of state Sen. Vivian Davis Figures (D), according to The Associated Press. Fortunately, no-one was home at the time and no injuries have been reported.

“At five o’clock that morning, I heard shots ring out and I laid there for a few seconds, but I didn’t know whether if I jumped up quick, that a bullet or something may come through the window. I looked out of all the windows to see if I could see anybody walking around or driving but I didn’t see nothing. Just heard the shots.” one of Figures’ neighbors told Fox10 News.

Mobile police spokesman Lt. Christopher Levy said the incident “does not appear to be a random act,” but its still too early to determine if it was as a result of Figures’ political stance.

Figures has served in the state Senate since 1997.

This could only have been done by someone doing outreach marketing for a home security CCTV company.
