New book reveals Biden's private frustration with Sen. Sinema.

President Joe Biden confessed in private that he does not understand Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (D-Ariz.), according to excerpts from a new book by New York Times reporters Jonathan Martin and Alexander Burns, obtained by Axios.

In their book about the 2020 election and Biden’s first year in office titled This Will Not Pass, the authors wrote: “One person close to the president likened Biden’s perplexity at Sinema to his difficulty grasping his grandchildren’s use of … TikTok. He wanted to relate, but he just didn’t quite get it.”

The book also revealed that Sinema discouraged Biden from going to Arizona to promote the COVID rescue plan after it passed in the Senate last year. Her conduct upsets people around Biden who complained that she was behaving more like Utah Republican Sen. Mitt Romney instead of a Democrat.

This Will Not Pass is the first major book about the Biden-Harris administration. It is set for release on May 3.
