MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell was shut down once again on Tuesday on Trump friendly, right wing cable news network, NewsMax for continuing to spread lies about the election being stolen from Donald Trump.
Newsmax anchors Bob Sellers and Heather Childers booked Lindell to talk about ‘cancel culture’ since Twitter suspended both his personal and corporate accounts for violating a disinformation standard regarding his repeated false claim that the election was stolen from Trump.
During the segment Lindell tried to spread his false claims about Dominion Voting Systems which allies of Trump have been claiming is at the center of a conspiracy to switch votes from Donald Trump to President Joe Biden.
“Mike, Mike, thank you very much” Sellers said interrupting Lindell. “Mike, you’re talking about machines that we at Newsmax have not been able to verify any of those kinds of allegations. We just want to let people know that there’s nothing substantive that we’ve seen.”
Sellers then read from statement as Lindell continued to speak over him.
“Let me read you something,” Sellers said. “While there was some clear evidence of some cases of vote fraud and election irregularities, the election results in every state were certified and Newsmax accepts the results as legal and final. The courts have also supported that view.”
“So, we wanted to talk to you about canceling culture. We don’t want to re-litigate the allegations that you’re making, Mike,” Sellers said as Lindell tried to speak over him again.
He briefly got Lindell’s attention again by asking, “Could you make an argument that this could be a temporary banning rather than permanent?”
Lindell responded, “No, I want it to be a permanent because you know what? They did this because I’m revealing all the evidence on Friday of all the election fraud of these machines — ”
That was too much for Sellers. “Can I ask our producers? Can we get out of here, please?” he asked. “I don’t want to have to keep going over this. We at Newsmax have not been able to verify any of these allegations.”
While Childers attempted to get control of the interview, Sellers got up from his chair and walked off camera.
Dominion voting systems have threatened Lindell with a lawsuit saying he has been a leader of a “misinformation campaign” against the company.
Dominion has already filed a $1.3 billion defamation lawsuit against Sidney Powell and Rudy Giuliani each.
“Newsmax and its anchor only wanted to make clear that it has found no evidence of software manipulation involving the election. However, Mr. Lindell is entitled to his own opinion and has a different viewpoint than ours,” Newsmax spokesperson Brian Peterson said in a statement after the interview.
