Newsmax host accuses Kentanji Brown Jackson of leaking SCOTUS draft.

Newmax host Grant Stinchfield believes he found the person who leaked the Supreme Court draft overturning abortion rights. According to Stinchfield, the leaker is future Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson.

There is one major problem with Stinchfield’s theory, Jackson is not on the court yet. She will be sworn in after the Supreme Court term ends this summer and Justice Stephen Breyer retires. She was not on the court in December when the justices heard oral arguments in the Mississippi case challenging Roe v. Wade and she would not have played any part in the ruling.

Huffpost noted that drafts of the justices opinion are circulated among the justices and their support staff. They are not shared outside the court. The opinion was drafted by Justice Samuel Alito in February, according to Politico. Jackson was confirmed by the Senate in April.

Still, Stinchfield says he “finds it suspect that the first leak coming out of the Supreme Court in history comes shortly after Judge Jackson is confirmed. I want to know if her law clerks, who I am sure have already been hired, possibly even working at the high court already before her swearing in, have access to these draft decisions.”

“She would be my first suspect when it comes to the leak because Ketanji Brown Jackson is a radical left-wing activist, more radical than any other justice in the history of the Supreme Court,” he continued. “I believe she is capable of undermining the court this way.”

A leak from the Supreme Court is rare but not unprecedented. In fact, the original Roe. v. Wade decision was leaked to the press in January 1973, when a Supreme Court clerk named Larry Hammond shared the news with a Time magazine reporter before the ruling was announced.
