Newsom dares Trump’s border czar to “come get me” after arrest threat.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom told Donald Trump’s ‘border czar,’ Tom Homan to “come get me” after he threatened to arrest the Democratic governor amid anti-ICE protest in Los Angeles.

On Saturday Homan threatened to arrest anyone who obstructs the immigration enforcement effort, including Newsom and Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass (D).

“I’ll say about anybody. You cross that line, it’s a felony to knowingly harbor and conceal an illegal alien,” Homan said. “It’s a felony to impede law enforcement doing their job.”

Newsom fired back in an interview with MSNBC’s Jacob Soboroff.

“He’s a tough guy. Why doesn’t he do that? He knows where to find me,” Newsom said. “That kind of bloviating is exhausting. So, Tom, arrest me. Let’s go.”

“Trump’s border czar is threatening to arrest me for speaking out. Come and get me, tough guy,” Newsom added in a post on X. “I don’t give a damn. It won’t stop me from standing up for California.”

Bass also dismissed Homan’s warning on Sunday as unnecessary.

“He had absolutely positively no reason to even say that,” Bass said. “I spoke to him last night. He understands that I am the mayor of the city; the last thing in the world I’m going to do is get into a brawl with the federal government. So that just made no sense. There was no reason for that comment.”
