Nikki Haley blames the liberal media for the Republican Party identity crisis.

Former US Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley accused the ‘liberal media’ of wanting to ‘stoke a nonstop Republican civil war’ in a Wall Street Journal op-ed on Wednesday, less than one week after slamming Donald Trump in a Politico interview.

“The media playbook starts with the demand that everyone pick sides about Donald Trump – either love or hate everything about him,” she wrote. “The moment anyone on the right offers the slightest criticism of the 45th president, the media goes berserk: Republicans are trying to have it both ways!”

“It’s a calculated strategy to pit conservatives against one another,” Haley continued. “It’s also a ridiculous false choice. Real life is never that simple. Someone can do both good and bad things.”

“People feel strongly about Mr. Trump, but we can acknowledge reality,” she said. “People on the right can find fault with Trump actions, including on Jan. 6. Right or left, when people make these distinctions, they’re not trying to have it both ways. They’re using their brains.”

Days ago, Haley broke with Trump, telling Politico that he “let us down” in the aftermath of the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.

“We need to acknowledge he let us down,” she told Politico. “He went down a path he shouldn’t have, and we shouldn’t have followed him, and we shouldn’t have listened to him. And we can’t let that ever happen again.”

Despite that, Haley praised Trump’s work in office writing: “Most of Mr. Trump’s major policies were outstanding and made America stronger, safer and more prosperous. I will gladly defend the bulk of the Trump record and his determination to shake up the corrupt status quo in Washington.”

“I will never defend the indefensible. I didn’t do that when I served alongside President Trump, and I’m not going to start now,” she added.

While Haley, a possible contender for the Republican Party nomination for president in 2024, believes that people are just merely using their brains when they disagree with Trump, he does not see it that way.

Trump requires absolute loyalty 100% of the time, the sooner Haley realizes that the better since the GOP have elevated him to the status of a kingmaker in the party.
