Nine coronavirus cases in Minnesota linked to a Trump rally.

Nine coronavirus cases in Minnesota can be traced back to a Trump rally in the state last month, the Minnesota Department of Health says.

Out of the nine cases, two were hospitalized and one is still in the Intensive Care Unit.

According to the Minnesota Department of Health, the individuals attended Trump’s rally “during the time when they were likely to have been exposed to the virus that made them ill,” which according to the CDC is 14 days. The department also said that atleast one person was infectious at the rally.

Two person became infected with the virus after attending a protest rally.

The Biden campaign blasted Donald Trump following the news. Andrew Bates a campaign spokesperson said: “As Joe Biden has said, the presidency is the duty to care. Donald Trump has utterly failed in that duty, lying about this deadly threat to the American people from the very beginning while mismanaging the response — and willingly exposing his own supporters to the pandemic for his own optical gratification.”

This comes as Donald Trump is returning to the campaign trail. On Saturday he held an in-person event at the White House despite it being a coronavirus hotspot. He also announced rallies in Florida, Pennsylvania and Iowa next week, days after being hospitalized with the virus and while the White House remain evasive about his health.
