A bar owner in Ohio is refusing to air another NBA game until the league expels LeBron James.
“If anyone wants to watch an NBA game, don’t come to Linnie’s Pub,” owner Jay Linneman said in a Facebook post. “We will not air them until Lebron James has been expelled from the NBA.”
This come after James posted and then deleted a tweet of a picture of the officer who shot and killed 16-year-old Ma’Khia Bryant with the caption “YOU’RE NEXT #ACCOUNTABILITY.”
James later explained that he deleted the tweet “because its being used to create more hate,” adding, “this isn’t about one officer. It’s about the entire system and they always use our words to create more racism.”
James responded to reports of the bar owner’s decision on Twitter, writing, “Aww Damn! I was headed there to watch our game tonight and have a drink! Welp.”
Bryant was fatally shot by Columbus, Ohio cop Nicholas Reardon who was responding to a 911 call about an attempted stabbing earlier this week.
