Pennsylvania state Rep. Mike Reese (R) died on Saturday of an apparent brain aneurysm.
Reese was elected this past November for a seventh term in the state House and was also elected to serve as the Pennsylvania House Republican Caucus chairman in 2020-21.

Pennsylvania House Majority Leader Kerry Benninghoff, said in a statement, Reese “died peacefully with his family by his side Saturday afternoon at Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital in Greensburg following an apparent brain aneurysm.”
“More than a friend to all of us, and one of our caucus leaders, Mike was a devoted husband and father,” he continued. “His wife, three young children and extended family are in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.”

Rep. Reese reportedly contracted COVID in the first week of December. He said at the time that he has been in quarantine for a week and his symptom “were mild and are subsiding. I’m feeling better as each day passes.”
He was 42-years-old.
