People are tired of hearing Fauci and all these idiots": Trump attacks Dr.Fauci on campaign call.

Donald Trump attacked Dr. Anthony Fauci and other health experts on a campaign call on Monday, claiming people are tired of hearing from Fauci and all “these idiots” who were wrong.

“People are tired of Covid. People are saying, ‘Whatever, just leave us alone.’ People are tired of hearing Fauci and all these idiots,” Trump said. “He’s been here for, like, 500 years. He’s like this wonderful sage telling us how — Fauci, if we listened to him, we’d have 700,000 [or] 800,000 deaths.”

“Fauci is a disaster,” Trump said.

Trump cannot directly fire Dr. Fauci but he’s aware of the consequences if he tries to do so. He told reporters on the call: “Every time he goes on television there’s always a bomb, but there’s a bigger bomb if you fire him.”

Trump’s attack comes one day after Dr. Fauci told 60 minutes that he’s “absolutely not” surprised that Donald Trump contracted the coronavirus.

This is the latest example of the blatant disconnect that exist between the Trump campaign and Trump the candidate.

The coronavirus remains a top issue among Americans this election cycle. Americans trust Dr. Fauci way more than Trump on the coronavirus pandemic and Trump campaign staffers know this. While Donald Trump is calling him a disaster, his campaign is running a fake ad which involves Dr. Fauci appearing to endorse him and his response to the coronavirus pandemic.

So, Trump is calling Fauci a disaster and lumping him with other health experts under the big umbrella of “these idiots” while using his words to bolster his credibility with voters.
