Poll: Biden leads by double digits nationally, closer race in Florida and Ohio.

On the eve of the 2020 presidential election, a new poll from Quinnipiac shows Joe Biden with a commanding lead nationally with the race much closer in Florida and Ohio.

In the national poll, Joe Biden leads Donald Trump by 11 points, 50% –39% among likely voters.

Biden’s biggest advantages over Trump nationally are with black voters (81%–6%), young voters between the ages of 18–34 (55%–32%), older voters 65+ (54%–39%), women (57%–32%) and among white voters with college degrees (61%–33%).

Biden holds a narrow lead over Trump in Florida and Ohio.

In Florida, 47 percent of likely voters support Biden while 42 percent support Trump. Biden is also viewed more favorably by likely voters in the state, 48 percent to 43 percent. Donald Trump’s approval rating in the state he won in 2016 is underwater. 50 percent of likely voters disapprove of Trump’s job as president while 42 percent approve.

In Ohio, Biden leads Trump by 4 points, 47 percent to 43 percent. He’s also viewed more favorably by 47% of voters in Ohio, while 51 percent of voters disapprove of Donald Trump.
