POLL: Kamala Harris wipes out Trump’s lead in battleground states.

A new poll shows Vice President and presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris erasing Donald Trump’s lead in seven swing states in a little over one week since entering the race.

In the Bloomberg News/Morning Consult survey, published Tuesday, 48 percent of likely voters in seven swing states say they will support Harris compared to Trump’s 47 percent.

Harris leads Trump by 11 points in Michigan and opened up a two-point lead over the former president in Nevada, Arizona, and Wisconsin.

Trump, meanwhile, led Harris by 4 points in Pennsylvania and 2 points in North Carolina.

The candidates are tied in Georgia receiving 47 percent support apiece.

The poll is a shift from earlier this month in the race between President Joe Biden and Trump. The Bloomberg News/Morning Consult survey at the time shows Trump leading Biden overall by 2 percentage points, and the former president leading in five of seven battleground states.

Biden has since stepped aside as the presumptive Democratic party nominee for president and endorsed Harris as his replacement. She consolidated Democratic support and secured the support of a majority of pledged delegates to be declared the party’s official nominee at next month’s convention.

The Bloomberg News/Morning Consult poll was conducted from July 24-28 among 4,973 registered voters. It has a margin of error of ±1 percent.
