A pregnant Ukrainian woman who was injured during Russian shelling of a maternity hospital in Mariupol has given birth to a daughter, according to the Associated Press.
Mariana Vishegirskaya was injured after a Russian airstrike hit the maternity hospital on Wednesday. The strike on the hospital killed at least three people, including a child, Ukrainian officials said.
A photo of a very pregnant and bloodied Vishegirskaya fleeing the hospital made headlines and led to the Russian Embassy attacking her, falsely claiming that she was a crisis actor who faked her injuries, according to Insider.
New AP photos released on Friday shows Vishegirskaya resting in a hospital bed after giving birth to her daughter Veronika. Another photo shows her husband Yuri holds the couple’s newborn daughter.
Vishegirskaya is reportedly a beauty influencer and blogger.
