President – elect Joe Biden said he is glad that Donald Trump will not be attending his inauguration.
It’s a good thing, him not showing up,” Biden told reporters in Friday. “He has exceeded even my worst notions about him. He has been an embarrassment to the country, embarrassed us around the world. Not worthy, not worthy to hold that office.”

Though Biden agrees that Donald Trump should not come to his inauguration he said Vice-President Mike Pence is “welcome” and it would be an “honor” to have him there.
On Friday Trump tweeted that he will skip the ceremony on January 20th meant to symbolize a transfer of power and show of unity.
“To all of those who have asked, I will not be going to the Inauguration on January 20th,” Trump tweeted.
Pence is still expected to attend. It will the first time since 1869 that a sitting president skips Inauguration Day.
