Russian President Vladimir Putin declared war on Ukraine Thursday in the same attire he wore during this rambling speech on Monday suggesting that his Thursday speech was pre-recorded.
Putin on Thursday announced a “special military operation” in Ukraine repeating lies to justify his invasion saying he was seeking to prevent a genocide against Russian-speakers and vowed a “demilitarization and de-Nazification of Ukraine.”
He also called on the Ukrainian army to lay down their weapons and go home and warned against outside interference saying they “will face consequences greater than any you have faced in history.”
In Thursday’s speech, Putin was dressed in what appeared to be the same black blazer with a white dress shirt and a burgundy tie he wore on Monday night suggesting that the speech was pre-recorded.
On Monday, Putin signed a decree recognising Luhansk and Donetsk in Eastern Ukraine as independent entities and sent Russian forces there to “maintain peace”.
