A TV host with the pro-Trump Right Side Broadcasting Network (RSBN) claimed earlier this week that God saved the former president from assassination and it is all laid out in the Bible.
According to Bobby McNeily, one has to look no further than the book of Leviticus to know that God saved Donald Trump to share his gospel and his word.
“We’ve got two iconic photos now. President Trump, the the arrest photo, the mug shot…..And now you have the iconic fight, fight, fight and that fist pump in the air, covered in blood,” McNeily said in a clip highlighted by Mediaite.
“The interesting thing about that, too, a lot of biblical prowess for it, because in the Levitical priesthood in the Old Testament, the blood to be set apart, to share not only the gospel, the Word of God at the time, but Aaron and his sons were anointed with the blood of the lamb or a pig,” he continued. “The sacrifice on the right ear. Usually the right thumb or right middle finger, and then the right large toe to go out, to be set apart, to share God’s story and his word.”
“That gave me goosebumps when I heard that story, because I wasn’t aware of that until after the assassination attempt. So I think there’s a lot of divine intervention,” McNeily added.
McNeily’s assertion is not uncommon among Trump’s most ardent supporters in the wake of the assassination attempt at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania last month.
Trump has leaned in to the sort of messianic imagery himself after the shooting.
“It was God alone who prevented the unthinkable from happening,” Trump wrote in a Truth Social post after the shooting. “We will FEAR NOT, but instead remain resilient in our Faith and Defiant in the face of Wickedness.”
He also told the New York Post: “I’m not supposed to be here, I’m supposed to be dead. By luck or by God, many people are saying it’s by God, I’m still here.”
