Rioter pictured with his foot on Nancy Pelosi's desk is arrested.

A member of the pro-Trump mob who was pictured in Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s office with his foot on her desk while Trump supporters stormed the Capitol has been arrested.

Richard Barnett, 60, of Gravette, Arkansas, was taken into custody in his home state on federal charges of entering and remaining on restricted grounds, violent entry and theft of public property, according to a Department of Justice official, NBC News reports.

On Wednesday, Barnett bragged to a New York Times reporter that he sat in Pelosi’s chair and took a personalized envelope from her office, insisting that he didn’t steal it.

He claimed to have knocked politely on her door before he was pushed inside by other rioters.

“I wrote her a nasty note, put my feet up on her desk,” he said.

Aides to Pelosi told NBC News that a laptop that was used only for presentations was also stolen from her office.
