RNC hires prominent election denier as 'senior counsel for election integrity'.

The Republican National Committee (RNC) has chosen prominent election denier and pro-Trump lawyer, Christina Bobb, as their ‘senior counsel for election integrity.’

“I’m honored to join the RNC and thrilled the new leadership is focused on election integrity,” Bobb said in a statement to The Washington Post. “I look forward to working to secure our elections and restore confidence in the process.”

Bobb pushed the big lie that the 2020 election was stolen from Trump and on Jan. 6 urged then-Vice-President Mike Pence to refuse to certify the results of the election. Bobb also said she would like to see those who allegedly stole the 2020 election be put on trial for treason.

In 2022, Bobb found herself in legal drama unrelated to Jan. 6 when she signed a letter in Trump’s classified documents case stating that a “diligent search” had been conducted at Mar-a-Lago and that all classified documents were turned over to the government.

The FBI executed a search warrant months later and retrieved about 100 other classified documents, according to the Associated Press.

Bobb’s hiring comes after Politico reported that the Trump-backed leadership team of chairman Michael Whatley and co-chair Lara Trump have gotten rid of about 60 RNC staff members since they took over days ago.

Lara Trump has previously said “every single penny” raised by the RNC will be spent on re-electing Trump.

“Every single penny will go to the number one and the only job of the RNC,” she said last month. “That is electing Donald J. Trump as president of the United States and saving this country. We have no time to waste. We’ve got to get to work. We’ve got a lot of money to raise and we need to ensure that every penny goes to those things that I just mentioned.”
