Rudy Giuliani says Trump told him to take top secret documents home.

Giuliani makes racist attack on judge overseeing Trump's hush money trial

Donald Trump’s former personal attorney Rudy Giuliani said the former president once told him to take top secret documents home early in his administration.

Giuliani said the incident occurred while he was vetting people to work in the administration shortly after Trump became president.

“He told me, ‘Oh, take them home with you’. I’m not going to take Wilbur Ross’ tax returns home with me. I could misplace them!” Giuliani said on his radio showUncovering the Truth with Rudy Giuliani & Dr. Maria Ryan.‘ “I didn’t take, listen to this, this is my training on ‘top secret:’ I didn’t take them out of Mar-a-Lago.”

“I never, ever, ever, ever, ever, knowingly, and I never got caught. But I don’t remember ever taking a doc,” Giuliani added.

The FBI executed a search warrant at Mar-a-Lago last August to retrieve classified documents after Trump ignored requests from the National Archives to return the files for over a year and his attorneys lied about returning all the classified documents. Some of those documents were labeled ‘top secret’.

The former president is now under criminal investigation by a special counsel for potential violation of the Espionage Act, obstruction of justice and destroying federal government records.
