Multiple people were injured in a mass shooting at the Abundant Life Christian School in Madison, Wisconsin on Monday.
Madison Police Chief Shon Barnes said that the shooting left at least five people dead, including the suspect, and five others injured.
The suspect was found dead inside the building and is believed to be a student at the Abundant Life Christian School, Madison.
“Officers located a juvenile who they believe was responsible for this deceased in the building,” he said.
“We believe the shooter was a student at the school, yes,” the chief later confirmed when asked.
Barnes also said the police department did not fire their weapons, CNN reports.
Abundant Life Christian school is a K-12 school that serves about 390 students, its website said. It planned to closed for Christmas vacation after this week.
