White House trade adviser Peter Navarro repeatedly broke the law by engaging in political activity as an official government employee to try and sway the election, the U.S. Special Counsel Office finds.
Navarro “repeatedly attacked presidential candidate Joe Biden and/or vice-presidential candidate Kamala Harris. Dr. Navarro often attacked Mr. Biden about this relationship with China and at times accused him of being “compromised” and susceptible to being “bought” by China, even nicknaming him ‘Beijing Biden'”, the report says. He also called Sen. Kamala Harris a “mouthpiece who cannot be taken seriously.”

On his official Twitter account, he called the now president-elect “soft” on China and a plagiarist.
The Office of Special Counsel said it was referring the violations to the president for “appropriate disciplinary action.”
But, its highly unlikely that anything will come of this. Donald Trump is responsible for punishing White House officials who violates the Hatch Act. He hasn’t acted on previous recommendations from the OSC to penalize repeat offenders like Kellyanne Conway after the office recommended he fired her in 2019.
