The Spring Break Joker who went viral last week for standing on top of a car waving the American flag and making it rain while declaring that “COVID is over,” has been identified.
According to the Daily Beast the man is 34-year-old Chicago resident Kyle Mrzena.
Mrzena is a COVID truther, who after his girlfriend left him and took their son last year, decided to take on the persona of the comic book villain to protest measures put in place to mitigate the spread of the coronavirus.
“The stress of the pandemic gave her some reason to break ties with me,” Mrzena explained. “Our relationship ended and I decided to start traveling. I took on the persona of the Joker to protest COVID restrictions and lockdowns.”
In phone interviews with the Daily Beast, he scoffed at COVID restrictions and praised DeSantis for keeping Florida open for much of the pandemic.
“We were invited to come down here by the governor,” he said in the interview. “When it comes to COVID and guidelines its all a joke. Its all propaganda.”
The Joker said he was very serious when he yelled “COVID is over” because he wants to be “part of the revolution” against the “New World Order” in a positive way.
He also believes that vaccines are a part of a global mind control experiment. “They are guinea piggying us,” he said. “I am willing to risk my health for a good time.”
