Stephen Miller calls RFK Jr “one of the world’s foremost experts on public health.”

White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller lavished praises on Health and Human Services Secretary, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. on Friday, calling him a “crown jewel of the administration” and “one of the world’s foremost experts on public health.”

Miller’s bizarre praise of the prominent anti-vaxxer comes amid turmoil at the Centers for Disease Control (CDC).

Earlier this week, CDC Chief Dr Susan Monarez was fired because she was “not aligned with the president’s agenda” on vaccines, according to the White House. She was replaced by RFK Jr’s deputy Jim O’Neill.

At last three senior CDC officials—Dr. Demetre Daskalakis, Dr. Deb Houry, and Dr. Dan Jernigan—announced their resignations shortly after.

The chaos at the agency has led to some senators calling for RFK Jr to resign. Miller defended Kennedy’s work on Friday, calling the prominent anti-vaxxer with no medical degree or training in public health “one of the world’s foremost experts on public health.”

“Secretary Kennedy has been a crown jewel of this administration, who’s working tirelessly to improve public health for all Americans,” Miller told reporters.

“Secretary Kennedy, one of the world’s foremost voices, advocates, and experts on public health, is working hard to restore the credibility and the integrity of CDC as a scientific organization committed to the scientific method, and getting to the root causes of the public health epidemic in this country,” he added.
