Stephen Miller praises Trump’s Oval Office meltdown: ‘Great moment in the history of American diplomacy’

Stephen Miller, the White House deputy chief of staff for policy, lavished praises on Donald Trump for berating Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in the Oval Office which earned plaudits from the Russians.

In an interview on Fox News Friday night, Miller claimed Trump’s meltdown will go down in history as a great moment for American diplomacy and that Americans were proud to watch the president bully an ally to defend a adversary.

“I don’t think anybody had any idea Zelensky would be so impertinent, so disrespectful, so insulting to the United States of America,” Miller told host Jesse Watters in a clip highlighted by Mediaite. “But this is one of the great moments in the history of American diplomacy.”

He continued: “The way that President Trump and J.D. Vance stood up for American interest on the world stage, the way that President Trump defended Americans after years of being fleeced and abused and taken advantage of and taken for granted, millions of American hearts swelled with overflowing pride today to watch President Trump put Zelensky in his place.”

The Oval Office meeting between Trump and Zelensky got heated at the end, when Vice President JD Vance intervened to claim that Ukraine is at this point because of the Biden administration’s actions, and said it was time for diplomacy.

Zelensky pushed back noting there had been ceasefire agreements Russian President Vladimir Putin had broken including the Minsk ceasefire agreements, during the first Trump administration which had been signed by both Russia and Ukraine.

Vance responded by accusing Zelensky of being “disrespectful” and demand that he show more gratitude toward Trump.

Trump then began shouting and accused the Ukrainian president of “gambling with World War III”.

After the contentious meeting, Trump scrapped plans to sign an agreement that would have allowed the U.S. to access Ukraine’s rare earth minerals.
