Former Trump White House advisor Steve Bannon said the former president’s rally in Florence, Arizona on Saturday will kick start the process of decertifying President Joe Biden’s electoral victory in the 2020 presidential election.
“This is the kickoff to the 2022 campaign season with this massive rally in Florence, Arizona, in a battleground state,” Bannon said. The people who joined Trump on stage were “specially chosen” because the “decertification process is really kicking up next week in the assembly in Arizona.”
Bannon claims Biden 2020 electors will be decertified in Arizona, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and Georgia and then “Joe Biden, the tech oligarchs and the media will just have to deal with it.”
Speakers who joined Trump on stage at the “Save America” rally on Saturday night included MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell, Reps. Paul Gosar, Andy Biggs, and other candidates running for state offices who have received Trump’s endorsement including controversial gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake.
The speakers, Trump included, all have one thing in common, they believe that the 2020 election was stolen even after multiple Republican-led audits— including the infamous Cyber Ninjas audit– confirmed Biden’s presidential win over Trump.
Arizona state officials certified the results of the election showing that Biden won the state by about 10,500 votes.
There is no legal path to undo the popular vote that led to the appointment of the electors, which means there is no constitutional mechanism available to decertify electors, experts say.
