Police have identified the suspect who drove a pickup truck into a crowd on Bourbon Street in New Orleans early on New Year’s Day killing at least 10 people and injuring more than 30 others.
The man has been identified as 42-year-old Shamsud Din Jabbar of Texas , according to NOLA.com. Sources told NOLA.com Din jabbar was carrying an ISIS flag in the truck.
Law enforcement was reportedly looking into the suspect’s potential ties to ISIS.
The suspect was shot by police and declared dead at the scene, the New Orleans Police Department said.
