Teen who tracked Elon Musk's jet now targets Russian Oligarchs.

Jack Sweeney, the teenager who made headlines after tracking Tesla CEO Elon Musk’s private jet is now tracking the planes of Russian oligarchs amid Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

Sweeney created a new account, called Russian Oligarch Jets, which tracks the whereabouts of some of Russian wealthiest men, including Chelsea Football Club owner Roman Abramovich, the nation’s wealthiest person and steel billionaire Alexander Abramov, Bloomberg reports.

The automated accounts shared its first tweet on Sunday after the US sanctioned several members of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s inner circle and pledged to hunt down and freeze their assets, including their yachts and mansions, according to Insider.

“The aircrafts these oligarchs have are absolutely crazy,” Sweeney told Bloomberg, noting that Russia’s richest people were traveling on commercial-sized aircrafts like an Airbus A319 and Boeing 737. “Their planes are huge compared to other jets.”

Sweeney made headlines last month when his popular account tracking the whereabouts of Elon Musk’s private jet caught the attention of the world’s richest man himself. Musk reportedly offered Sweeney $5000 to close the account calling it a security risk.

He countered Musk’s offer, asking for $50k instead, “it would be great support in college and would possibly allow me to get a car maybe even a Model 3,” he reportedly wrote to Musk. He never receive a response to his counter offer.
