Texas man threatened to kill Democrats and set priests on fire after the Pope congratulated President-elect Biden on his victory.

A Texas man was arrested and charged with making terroristic threats after he sent emails to a church threatening to murder Democrats and set priests on fire after the Pope congratulated President-elect Biden on his victory over Donald Trump in the election, News4 San Antonio reports.

According to court records, 55-year-old William Edward Bender began sending the emails to the Episcopal Church of the Holy Spirit and the Kingdom Episcopal School in June.

In a November 8 email, Bender reportedly asked if “it was time to start killing people,” before adding “I’m going to let those Democrats live for a while longer.”

A few days later, November 12, he sent another email to the church. This time it included a link to a story of when the Pope congratulated President-elect Biden.

“You want priests getting covered in gasoline, and set on fire?” Bender wrote. “Because this is how you get priest covered in gasoline and set on fire.”

The pastor of the church told police that Bender attended their services before. That was why leaders of the church responded to an email telling him he’s no longer welcome back.

“Some Hills are worth dying on,” Bender said in response to the church’s email. “Practicing free speech and trying to go to church in order to prevent the eternal enslavement of all humanity to the satan-worshiping Jews and their evil and robotically obedient Chinese golems seems like a good thing do die for… I’d like a head, shot, if possible.”

The church said they had to scale back attendance at services and hired armed security due to Bender’s threats.
