The Art of Her Deal: Unauthorized biography of Melania Trump aims to portray her as an active player.

There’s one book whose release has been overshadowed by John Bolton’s book: The Room Where it Happened and that is the unauthorized biography of first lady Melania Trump.

Washington Post reporter, Mary Jordan’s book, ‘The Art Of Her Deal’ had several interesting revelations about Melania Trump, including a power struggle between her and Ivanka and the real reason why she stayed in New York during the early days of the Trump presidency.

In her book, Jordan wrote that Melania remained in New York because she was renegotiating her prenup with Donald Trump after his infidelity and other sexual proclivities were brought to light during the 2016 campaign. She wanted to ensure that Barron would be treated as equal to Trump’s older children when it comes to financial opportunities and inheritance. In her absence, Ivanka attempted to take over the office of the First Lady, proposing it be renamed to the ‘Office of the First Family’. But Melania was not having it.

For the book, Jordan interviewed more than one hundred people, including former staffers who worked for the Trumps and was willing to share some behind the scenes stories about the couple’s ‘unconventional’ marriage. Jordan also interviewed some of Melania’s former employers in the modeling world who remembers her as being, “nice but distant.”
