Supporters of former President Donald Trump are trying to find a new way to reinstate him as president three years after his loss in the 2020 election and after he already announced a bid for the GOP nomination in 2024.
According to Newsweek, three brothers who are staunch supporters of the former president are preparing to roll out a “Plan C” to reinstate Trump after the U.S. Supreme Court declined to hear their case once again on Tuesday.
“2nd petition denied. Moving on to plan C. I will say more about that within the next few days. We have been working long and hard on these strategies and there are more to come,” one of the brothers, Raland Brunson wrote on Facebook.
“We understand this to be a possible long but worthy goal. The result is that everyone in this nation will have the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the candidate of their choice will be bound by their oath to protect the rights and freedom of the people they represent” Brunson added.
The brothers argue that the 2020 presidential election was rigged against Trump because lawmakers failed to investigate claims of foreign interference in the election.
The Supreme Court declined to hear the case last month but the brothers appealed their decision and was again denied on Tuesday.
The case comes months after Trump announced his bid to seek the GOP nomination for president in 2024 even though he hasn’t given up on his unsubstantiated claims of widespread fraud in the 2020 election.
There is no legal pathway to reinstate Trump as president.
