Tim Walz motorcade crashes on route to rally.

Kamala Harris’ running mate Gov Tim Walz’s motorcade was involved in a crash on Monday, according to reports.

The collision occurred around 1 p.m. on Interstate 794 where Walz was on his way to an event celebrating Labor Day in Milwaukee.

The vehicle carrying Walz was not affected and continued along with the rest of the motorcade to the event.

But the vans carrying staff and members of the press suffered the most damage during the crash and some occupants sustained minor injuries.

At least one staff member in one of the press vans appeared to have a broken arm and was being treated by medics on the scene, CBS reported.

“Some of my staff and members of the press were traveling with us were involved in a traffic accident on the way here today,” Walz said at his rally Monday. “We’ve spoken with the staff, I’m relieved to say that with a few minor injuries, everyone is going to be ok.”

Harris called Walz to check on him after the crash, a White House official told CBS.

Republican vice presidential nominee, Sen. JD Vance (R-Ohio,) also sent well wishes after the crash writing on X/Twitter: “Hoping everyone is ok.”
