The election is 14 days away, Donald Trump is trailing Joe Biden by double digits and staffers are already looking for jobs outside of the Trump administration. If Donald Trump was a smart man he would take every opportunity presented to him to talk to Americans outside of his base.
But, if the last four years have taught us anything, it is that Donald Trump is not a smart man.
He reportedly stormed out of a CBS News ’60 Minutes’ interview with Lesley Stahl and did not return for an appearance he was supposed to tape with Vice President Mike Pence, sources told CNN.
From CNN:
After camera crews set up at the White House on Monday, Trump sat down with host Lesley Stahl for about 45 minutes on Tuesday before he abruptly ended the interview and told the network he believed they had enough material to use, according to two sources.
After he stormed out of the interview, Trump posted a five second clip on Twitter showing Lesley Stahl having an inaudible conversation with two men who were wearing masks. Stahl was maskless. “Much more to come” Trump teased.
Former VP Joe Biden and his running Sen. Kamala Harris were also interviewed by ’60 Minutes’ but separately. Trump and Pence were suppose to appear together but Trump never returned for his segment with Pence.
The interview will air on Sunday.
