On the eve of his arraignment in a Manhattan courtroom, Former President Donald Trump accused Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg of leaking information and said he should “INDICT HIMSELF.”
“Wow! District Attorney Bragg just illegally LEAKED the various points, and complete information, on the pathetic Indictment against me. I know the reporter and so, unfortunately, does he. This means that he MUST BE IMMEDIATELY INDICTED,” Trump wrote on his Truth Social site on Monday. “Now, if he wants to really clean up his reputation, he will do the honorable thing and, as District Attorney, INDICT HIMSELF.”
The former president did not provide any proof to support his claim that Bragg leaked information.
Trump was indicted last week in connection to Bragg’s investigation into an alleged hush money payment he authorized to adult film star Stormy Daniels before the 2016 election.
The former President flew to New York on Monday and will appear before a judge in the Manhattan Criminal Court on Tuesday to be arraigned.
Yahoo News reported Monday evening that Trump will be charged with 34 felony counts related to falsifying business records.
