Donald Trump turned on Mitch McConnell about 14 hours after the Senate Majority Leader delivered a speech on the floor of the Senate recognizing Joe Biden as the president-elect.
“Many of us hoped that the presidential election would yield a different result, but our system of government has processes to determine who will be sworn in on January 20. The Electoral College has spoken,” McConnell said in his floor speech. “So today, I want to congratulate President-elect Joe Biden.”

Shortly after midnight Trump shared a report on McConnell’s comments with a message of his own to the Majority Leader, writing: “Mitch, 75,000,000 VOTES, a record for a sitting President (by a lot). Too soon to give up. Republican Party must finally learn to fight. People are angry!”
McConnell also warned lawmakers on a phone call on Tuesday to avoid challenging the results of the electoral college vote in Congress, further breaking with Trump and his allies in the House who are planning to do just that.
I expected Delusional Donnie to lash out at McConnell. It really doesn’t matter. Donnie is out as of January 20,2021 and McConnell will still be around.
