Trump blames Aspirin for bruised hands.

Donald Trump,79, is blaming high doses of Aspirin for his visibly bruised hands that have reignited questions about his health.

“They say aspirin is good for thinning out the blood, and I don’t want thick blood pouring through my heart,” Trump told the Wall Street Journal in an interview. “I want nice, thin blood pouring through my heart. Does that make sense?”

“I’m a little superstitious,” he said, adding that the large dose of Aspirin he takes daily causes him to bruise easily. Despite warnings from his physician to lower his dosage, Trump says he refuses because he’s been taking aspirin for 25 years.

Aspirin helps to thin the blood, which prevents the formation of clots, but can lead to excessive bleeding. According to Mayo Clinic, 81 milligrams is the commonly recommended dose of Aspirin, which can help to prevent a heart attack.

Trump’s physician, Dr. Sean Barbabella, told WSJ that Trump takes 325 milligrams of aspirin daily.

Trump’s interview with the Journal comes amid new questions about his health after he began appearing in public with bruised hands and is trying to cover them with heavy makeup and bandages, and shielding them from cameras. Observers also noticed that there is a hole in Trump’s bruised left hand. There is also swelling in his legs, and he regularly falls asleep during public events.

Despite this, Barbabella told CNN that Trump remains in “excellent health.”

“President Trump’s medical evaluations and laboratory results continue to show excellent metabolic health, and have revealed his cardiovascular health puts him 14 years younger than his age. Overall, the President remains in exceptional health and perfectly suited to execute his duties as Commander in Chief,” he said.
