Donald Trump took to Truth Social on Saturday to brag about how “great” his poll numbers are, but he noticeably did not cite a single poll with these supposed great numbers.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump wrote: “Great Poll Numbers. Thank You!!! President DJT”

Trump did not mention which poll he was referring to, and there are no recent polls where his numbers are “great.”

Several recent high-quality pollsters have found Trump’s approval rating hovering in the low to mid 30s amid the ongoing war with Iran and concerns about the cost of living.

The latest CNN poll shows Trump’s overall approval rating at a record low of 34%. This matched the approval rating he received just after his supporters stormed the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, to overturn the results of the 2020 election.

Trump also achieved the lowest net approval rating of his second term at -20.6. That’s down from -16.4 on July 12, according to pollster Nate Silver.

Voters also strongly oppose Trump’s war with Iran.

In the most recent Quinnipiac University poll, 60 percent of voters said they opposed military action against Iran, a slight uptick since May. And in the CNN poll, 74 percent of Americans — including about 43 percent of Republicans — said the war in Iran had not been worth the cost in terms of the financial burden or American casualties.

Trump has previously dismissed these polls as “fake,” insisting that “my REAL Polling Numbers, not those made up by the Fake News Media, are the best they have ever been.”
