The campaign is well within its rights to request a recount, but to be frank, all this is unnecessary and they just look desperate. This second recount will not address the concerns they claim to have about matching signatures, so, what is the point if not to stall? What’s worst, taxpayers will be footing the bill for this. Officials in the state’s largest county, Fulton County estimates that a recount could cost around 200k.

This time, the recount will be conducted by machine, not hand. Under state law a campaign can request a machine recount if a vote margin is within 0.5 percent. Biden won the state by a margin of 0.26%.
“Today, the Trump campaign filed a petition for recount in Georgia,” the campaign said in a statement. “We are focused on ensuring that every aspect of Georgia State Law and the U.S. Constitution are followed so that every legal vote is counted.”
The campaign already got a hand recount, there were no significant changes. There won’t be any changes here either. There comes a point when all this become pointless.
