Donald Trump on Monday celebrated Sen. Mitt Romney being booed by Republicans in Utah during a speech at the state party convention over the weekend.
“So nice to see RINO Mitt Romney booed off the stage at the Utah Republican State Convention,” Trump said in a Monday statement according to the Hill. “They are among the earliest to have figured this guy out, a stone cold loser!”
Romney, the Republican party nominee for president in 2012 was booed and called a “traitor” at Utah’s Republican convention on Saturday, according to the Salt Lake Tribune.
“You can boo all you like,” Romney told the crowd. “I’ve been a Republican all of my life. My dad was the governor of Michigan and I was the Republican nominee for president in 2012.”
