Trump claims debate audience “went crazy” over moderators fact checking him—there was no audience at the debate.

Donald Trump claims the audience at last week’s presidential debate with Kamala Harris “went crazy” after moderators David Muir and Linsey Davis fact-checked him live, but there was no audience at the event.

“They corrected me, everything I said, practically. I think nine times or 11 times. And the audience was absolutely– they went crazy,” Trump said on Wednesday’s Gutfeld! on Fox News, according to a clip highlighted by Mediaite.

There was no audience at the debate since the event took place under the same rules as the debate between Trump and President Joe Biden in June.

Debate moderators did fact check some of Trump’s more outlandish false statements during last Tuesday’s debate with Harris including his false claims that Haitian migrants in Springfield, Ohio were killing and eating residents’ pets and that Democrats support abortion even after birth.

A CNN fact check of the debate found that Trump made at least 33 false claims to Harris’ one.
