Trump denies saying what he is on video saying.

Trump claims he never said that he wouldn't return to Minnesota if he lost to Biden in 2020, he did.

A local reporter confronted Donald Trump over his promise in 2020 to never return to Minnesota if he lost the state to Joe Biden in the election.

At a rally in Duluth, Minnesota in 2020 Trump said: “If I lose Minnesota, I’m never coming back, I don’t care. I’m never coming back.”

In an interview with local ABC affiliate KSTP, reporter Tom Hauser asked Trump about his promise to never come back to Minnesota.

“I think at one point you vowed never to come back to Minnesota after you lost the state in 2020. Is this a signal that you think you have a realistic chance to win the state of Minnesota in 2024?” Hauser asked.

Trump claims he never said what he is on video saying and that he actually won the state.

“Well, I never said I’d never come back; I never even thought of that,” Trump answered. “I thought I won in 2020, easily.”

Trump lost Minnesota by 7 points in 2020.

He returned to the state Friday to headline the Minnesota Republican Party’s annual Lincoln Reagan Dinner.
