Donald Trump told House Republicans during a meeting a Capitol Hill Thursday that former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) daughter told him that he and her mom would be “perfect together,” a claim Pelosi’s daughter furiously denied.
“Nancy Pelosi’s daughter is a whacko,” Trump allegedly said. “Her daughter told me if things were different Nancy and I would be perfect together, there’s an age difference though.”
Christine Pelosi, Pelosi’s daughter, immediately debunked the claim.
“Speaking for all 4 Pelosi daughters — this is a LIE. His deceitful, deranged obsession with our mother is yet another reason Donald Trump is unwell, unhinged and unfit to step foot anywhere near her — or the White House,” Pelosi wrote.
Pelosi was House Speaker for the last two years of Trump’s presidency and they famously did not get along.
Trump’s visit on Wednesday marked the first time the former president had returned to the Capitol since the Jan. 6 insurrection when he sic a mob of his supporters on lawmakers to prevent the certification of Joe Biden’s victory.
