Donald Trump mocked President Joe Biden for making gaffes and demanded that he takes a cognitive test before making a gaffe himself.
During a speech at a convention of Turning Point Action in Detroit on Saturday, Trump demanded that Biden take the same cognitive test he claims he took in 2018 with former White House physician turn GOP congressman Rep Ronny Jackson (R-TX.)
“He doesn’t even know what the word ‘inflation’ means. I think he should take a cognitive test like I did,” Trump said of Biden.
Seconds later, Trump had a major gaffe of his own when he forgets the name of the doctor who administered the test—TWICE.
“Doc Ronny Johnson,” Trump said. “Does everyone know Ronny Johnson, congressman from Texas? He was the White House doctor, and he said I was the healthiest president, he feels, in history, so I liked him very much indeed immediately.”
During the same speech, Trump also referenced a video clip circulated online among the right, claiming that at the G7 summit in Italy, Biden was turning “to look at trees,” while other world leaders watch skydivers land with flags from different nations.
The clip is misleading because it was edited to show Biden stepping away from the leaders, turning his back and walking in the other direction. He flashes a thumbs-up but it’s not clear who he is gesturing.
But, a more complete video shows that Biden had turned to face a skydiver who had landed on his left.
