Trump demands “full throated apology” from Dem governor for ‘unlawfully challenging the federal government’.

In true authoritarian fashion, Donald Trump is now demanding a “full throated apology” from Maine Gov. Janet Mills, a Democrat, for daring to stand up to him.

During a televised meeting at the White House with governors last month, Trump singled out Mills and threatened to withhold federal funds to her state if universities in Maine did not comply with his executive order banning transgender women and girls from competing in female sports.

Mills responded to Trump’s threat saying “see you in court.”

Maine universities have since backed down. The U.S. Department of Agriculture announced this week that universities in Maine are complying with the order, but Trump is demanding an apology from Mills for ‘unlawfully challenging the federal government.’

“While the State of Maine has apologized…..we have not heard from the Governor herself, and she is the one that matters in such cases,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

“We need a full throated apology from the Governor herself, and a statement that she will never make such an unlawful challenge to the Federal Government again, before this case can be settled,” he added. “I’m sure she will be able to do that quite easily.”
