Trump discuss handing our pardons "like Christmas gifts" even to people who didn't ask for one: Axios.

Trump is going to pardon “every person who ever talked to me,” that is what one adviser told Axios, signalling that a flurry of pardons are coming before Donald Trump leaves the White House in 44 days.

According to Axios, lately Trump has been soliciting recipients, asking friends and advisers who they think he should pardon. But, sources say he’s not just relying on the advise of friends and close confidants, he’s also blindly discussing handing them out “like Christmas gifts” to people who haven’t even asked.

One adviser recalls Trump saying he was going to pardon “every person who ever talked to me.”

There have been reports that Trump is considering a preemptive pardon for each of his three eldest children and his attorney Rudy Giuliani. But the list doesn’t stop there. Trump is fully on board with preemptively pardoning any individual who serves in his administration. He believes it is necessary because the Biden administration will target his former aides.

His obsession with the pardon power have caused people to feel awkward after Trump interrupted their conversation to suggest that he add the person he’s speaking with to the pardon list even though that individual didn’t commit any crimes.
