Donald Trump is once again falsely claiming that security at the courthouse where is criminal hush money trial is underway is preventing his supporters from showing up to protest.
“Because what this judge is getting away with is disgraceful, including the fact that we have thousands of people and 100,000 people in New Jersey. They would like to show their support,” Trump said. “It’s like an armed camp outside. You can’t get one person within three blocks of this courthouse.”
Trump has repeatedly made this claim and it has been debunked each time.
While there is some security around the courthouse, it is not an “armed camp” as Trump claims and the area remains accessible to vehicles and pedestrians.
Trump’s comments come before what is expected to be a day of explosive testimony in his criminal hush money case when is former attorney Michael Cohen takes the stand as a witness for the prosecution.
