Donald Trump appeared to forget the name of one of children during his victory speech in South Carolina on Saturday night.
“First of all, my family, Melania, Barron, Don Jr. and Kimberly, Ivanka and Jared, Tiffany and Michael, they are so so supportive. So supportive of me, and we really appreciate it and love them. We have a great family,” Trump said.
Despite reading from a card and the fact that Eric was standing onstage with him, Trump never mentioned him or his wife Lara, whom he endorsed to be the co-chair of the Republican National Committee (RNC),
This comes amid questions about the former president’s mental abilities after a series of gaffes including confusing Nikki Haley with former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and mixing up President Joe Biden and former President Barack Obama on several occasions.
A Trump campaign spokesperson previously said in a statement that his gaffes are different from the ones that he and his allies highlight of Biden.
