Donald Trump becomes the first former U.S. president in history to become a convicted felon.
After roughly 11 hours of jury deliberation, Trump was convicted on 34 counts of falsifying business records to conceal alleged extramarital affairs during his 2016 campaign by a jury in New York on Thursday.
Trump is set to be sentenced on July 11, days before the start of the Republican National Convention on July 15.
The conviction does not prevent Trump from running for the office or returning to the White House if he wins in November.
